About Cursivio
Cursivio is a free reference for cursive handwriting in US English. It gives parents, teachers and learners a clear A to Z cursive alphabet chart, a guide to each letter’s strokes, printable practice sheets and a copy-and-paste cursive text generator, all on one site run by the Cursivio editorial team.
What Cursivio is for
Most people arrive with one of three jobs: see what each cursive letter looks like, learn how to write it, or turn a word into cursive-style text for a profile, card or caption. Cursivio is organised around those jobs. The alphabet chart shows capital and lowercase letters on three-line guides. Letter pages explain where each stroke starts and which way it travels. The generator converts typed text into Unicode characters that look like script and can be pasted almost anywhere.
Who writes it
Every page is written and checked by the Cursivio editorial team. We do not publish under made-up bylines, and we do not present the site as an official school curriculum. Cursive styles differ between handwriting programmes, so our guides describe common, widely taught letter shapes and say so when a letter has more than one accepted form.
How we make and check a page
- Letter shapes are drawn on three-line guides so proportions can be compared at a glance.
- Stroke-order steps are written for beginners and re-read against the chart before a page goes live.
- Generator output is plain Unicode text. How it looks depends on the font on the device that shows it, so a style that displays well in one app can show empty boxes in another, and we say so on the pages that offer it.
- We revise pages when we find an error or when a reader reports one.
Fonts and sources
The sample letters on this site are set in Playwrite US Trad and the interface in Nunito. Both are open-licence fonts released under the SIL Open Font License. We use fonts only where their licence allows it. Each one is listed on the font licenses page.
Independence
Cursivio is an independent site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any school district, publisher, handwriting programme or social platform. Product and platform names that appear on the site belong to their owners.

FAQ
Is Cursivio an official handwriting curriculum?
No. Cursivio follows a common school cursive model, and where programmes differ we say so on the page. It is a free reference, not a replacement for your school’s programme.
Who makes the charts?
The Cursivio editorial team draws and checks them. We do not use invented teachers or bylines.
Is the site safe for children?
Yes. It has no accounts, no advertising and no tracking, and it collects no personal data from children. The privacy policy lists exactly what we keep.
