Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Cursivio, the free cursive alphabet and cursive text site at cursivio.com, collects when you use it, why, and for how long. We collect very little, and we describe here only what the site actually does.
What we do not collect
- The site does not use advertising or advertising cookies.
- The site does not run an analytics or tracking service.
- Text you type into the cursive generator is converted in your browser and is not sent to our servers or saved.
- You cannot create an account, and we do not collect payment details.
What we do collect
Contact messages. If you use the contact form, we store the message, the topic you chose, and the name and email address if you choose to give them. Only the editorial team can read these in the site’s admin area. We use them to answer you and to improve the site, and we delete them automatically 12 months after they arrive.
Spam protection. To limit abuse of the form, the server keeps a salted, one-way hash of your network address for one hour. The address itself is not stored with your message.
Server logs. Like any website, our web server and our content delivery network record technical details of each request, such as the page asked for, time, browser type and network address. We use them to keep the site secure and working, and they are kept for a short period set by those services.
Cookies. The site itself sets no cookies for tracking. Our content delivery and security provider may set technical cookies needed to protect the site from attacks.
Who receives data
Our hosting provider and content delivery network process requests on our behalf so the site can load. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
Children
Cursivio is made for learners of all ages, including children, but it is intended to be read by parents and teachers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If a child has sent us a message with personal details, a parent can ask us to delete it using the contact form.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR in Europe and state laws such as the CCPA in California, you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its use. Because we keep only contact messages, the simplest way to use these rights is to write to us through the contact page and say which message you mean.
Changes
If the site starts using analytics, advertising or anything else that collects data, we will update this page before it does. See also the terms of use and the about page.
